Brief/Assignment
To run the plant on an interim basis for nine months, whilst introducing sustainable lean manufacturing processes in order to improve output significantly in line with an increasing market demand for these products
Delivered Benefits & Results
- Trained the senior management team in the basics of lean manufacturing in order to guarantee the flow of product through the process lines and maintain a higher level of output: on average a 20% increase in daily production was achieved
- Reorganised the senior team to meet the challenges posed by increasing penetration into the market
- Commenced the development of more strategic and effective contractual relationships with key equipment suppliers to increase the available ‘up time’
