An established globally branded high volume manufacturer of domestic heating systems across continental Europe supplying into the wholesale and retail markets.

Brief / Assignment
On behalf of the Group Operations Director:
To assess and review the previously failing lean transformation programme in four key manufacturing locations in the UK, France and Italy 
To recommend / implement the necessary improvement actions (in conjunction with local management), in order to ensure sustainable continuous improvement in productivity in the assembly and component manufacturing shops

Delivered Benefits & Results
Implemented a revamped plan for the inculcation of ‘lean basics’ including:
  • Enhanced Policy Deployment process linked to daily management
  • New Kaizen tool kit and process leading to: 
    – 10% improvement in Assembly line output
    – Re-design of flawed heat exchanger 
  • Implementation / adoption of TPM
  • Implementation of Standardised working & Standardised Management
